You were an adult before becoming a Christian. What was the crisis of faith that saw you commit your life to Christ?
In 1976, I hosted The Moira Hunt Show on Barrie’s CKVR TV, had a fabulous clothing allowance and ratings success, but I was desperately seeking. The nuclear threat was looming. Women Alive made news with their weekend conference in Waterloo, so I invited the Founder and President Nell Maxwell on the show, and off camera probed her about prophecy. Two years later we met for lunch and she told me about Hal Lindsey’s book The Late Great Planet Earth. I knew He [points up] was the answer to all my questions, and I made the decision to follow Christ in August 1978. That was the beginning of my new life. I embraced Philippians 3:8 as my life verse: “Everything else is worthless, compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.”
